She's a lily of a filly, a fighter, a survivor, my friend and chosen sister, Tammi Poole.
Diagnosed with breast cancer on September 23, 2013, Tammi ran one amazing race with courage and conviction! She's a mother of 5 children ranging at the time of diagnosis from college to kindergarten. As she battled cancer, her house, her body, and her life were all under reconstruction. On her own, she maintained a TeamTammi support page with over 900 followers. She shared her experiences dashed with wit and humor and splashed with just enough reality to real and to be Tammi. She unselfishly shared a glimpse into what living with and through breast cancer was like. Throughout Chemo, radiation, and reconstruction as recently as three weeks ago, she retained her spunky nature and sense of humor.
Back to work full-time with a busy career and in addition to being Supermom, Tammi volunteers to support and help the newly diagnosed begin their race for their cure. Tammi is amazing, never a long shot and would be a handicapper's favorite!
Tammi is determined to WIN her battle, to PLACE value on all things in her life, big and small, and to SHOW us daily how it is done! Please allow Tammi the honor of walking in the Oaks Day Survivors Walk, we would love to watch her Go Baby, Go!
